A New Series of Women's Portraits
In my career as an artist, I have always pondered: What will be my theme in art? What exactly will I choose as my main subject one day? This question becomes relevant for every artist at some point, and I vividly remember how my mentor once said, “Don’t worry—you are still young as an artist. Experiment! Try out various techniques and themes, and one day, you will know it intuitively.” At that time, I thought: That was exactly what I needed to hear. So, I began exploring different painting techniques and themes.
After several years, the idea emerged: Women’s portraits. I aim to capture the women of our time in artworks and show the world how relevant their stories are and what they have accomplished to make significant progress in society. Women from our everyday lives contribute so much that influences the lives of many. Therefore, I now focus on this theme and select relevant, important international female figures, like the new interpretation of Frida Kahlo in this painting – a reinterpretation of Frida Kahlo in the 21st century as a young, modern, independent woman. What would she say today? How would she live? With my portrait, I want to leave these questions open and stimulate the viewers' imagination.

Inspired by the historical figure Kyniska, the first known woman to achieve Olympic victory in ancient Greece, this piece bridges the gap between past and present by celebrating both her trailblazing spirit and the ongoing fight for equity.
